LoveShackFancy’s Rebecca Hessel Cohen had a clear concept for her Spring 2026 collection: prairie romance. It falls under the umbrella of Western-style fashion—like many other designers, Cohen has hopped on the runaway train trend of cowboy style that’s been on the runway the past couple of seasons. But unlike many other designers, Cohen brings hyper-femininity to it: suede was used for laser cut micromini shorts with a ruffle trim, lace was crafted into V-neck crop top blouses, and calico patterns morphed into bralettes and corsets. A piano shawl, meanwhile, was re-imagined as a semi-sheer hip-hugging maxi dress. While American sportswear traditionally comes with slack and ease, Loveshackfancy likes to show off some skin. “She's just having fun and living life,” Cohen said. “This collection really is an homage to the American girls.” A specific American muse girl? Kate Hudson, who was recently filmed dancing on stage at a concert in Aspen while wearing a hot pink Loveshackfancy dress.

The collection comes just as Cohen’s brand is expanding in the Western and Southern parts of the United States, where cowboys boots are more popular than ballet flats. She recently opened a store in Aspen, which regularly sells out of suede jackets, as well as multiple locations in Texas. She is also scouting locations in Colorado.

Cohen—like nearly every designer who wades into modern western genre—owes some debt to Ralph Lauren, whose own vintage calico corset just appeared on Ice Spice at the VMAs a few days ago. But these designs were unmistakably hers. She once said her house codes are pink, bows, lace, tulle, and flowers. Look closely at a patchwork crochet dress, and you’ll still see three out of the five.
